Sarkoa bills tile requests (each map tile loaded by a viewer). This example shows map views, how often the map is opened or embedded. We estimate tile requests from views using about 10 tile loads per view for vector and embed maps, and about 100 for raster maps, because imagery typically loads more tiles per session.

Do I pay for bandwidth or downloads?

No. There are no download or bandwidth fees for map views, tile loads, or file downloads. You pay for storage (and a plan subscription on paid tiers).

What does unlimited tiles mean on paid plans?

Community, Essential, and Pro include unlimited tile requests with no tile overage charges for normal product, embed, and API use. Indicative fair-use guidelines apply; sustained excess may lead to notice, throttling, or suspension for abuse. See the Fair Use Policy for details.

Can I use Sarkoa in QGIS today?

Yes. Install the Sarkoa QGIS plugin from a ZIP at sarkoa.com/downloads, or add tile and file URLs as layers. An ArcGIS Pro toolbox is still coming soon.

Do my clients or viewers need a Sarkoa account?

No. Share links, public maps, and embeds open without a Sarkoa login, and viewers never pay. You pay for your organization’s plan. All plans allow commercial use.
