About Sarkoa
Sarkoa is a powerful, independent platform for sharing geospatial data on the web. It is operated by Sarkoa Analytics Inc., based in Ottawa, Canada.
Mike Hann
Founder
I'm Mike, a geospatial analyst and developer. I build and run everything at Sarkoa.
Why Sarkoa exists
After years of doing geospatial work, I kept hitting the same wall... generating the data and making a map is fun, but sharing those hours of work usually means standing up tile servers, worrying about usage bills, and babysitting infrastructure. Sarkoa exists so anyone with spatial data can put it on the web in minutes and get back to the work they love.
How Sarkoa is run
Sarkoa is independent and self-funded. There's no growth team and no sales funnel. The product is funded by the people who use it, which means my only incentive is to keep it fast, reliable, and fairly priced. I'm always open to feature suggestions. If something would make your workflow better, tell me. I want to build the best product I can for the people who use it. Your data is yours. Export it, delete it, or leave anytime. No worries, no hassle.
